Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

The Good: - $1.50 slice! Yes, it still exists. - Ultra friendly staff - Beachside location - Comfy wooden bench out front, picnic tables to the side The Bad: - No seating inside; cant escape the heat - Mediocre slice of pie The Verdict: Angelos Pizza is located in Clearwater beach on a postage stamp of real estate only a frisbee's throw from the water. Id always rather grab for a slice of pizza rather than a hot dog or burger when I start jonesin' for food, and Angelo's will hit the spot. Upon entering, you will be immediately greeted by the counter and a super friendly staff. Even if the slice tasted something a long the lines of Sbarro's, $1.50 is unbeatable.

Great thin crust and original crust. Haven't tried the thicker choices. Pizza was ready when they said it would be. Tasted great!

Its probably my favorite Chicago pizza place ever. They have an amazing thin crust that is super cracker-y crunchy. It was like a flat bread. And the stuffed crust is like the ones I've had in Chicago. They are pretty flexible with toppings if you have allergies to things. I'm lactose intolerant so I always ask for a veggie pizza with no cheese and sauce (there is a bit of parm in the sauce, I think) and its so amazing. Also they have a BBQ chicken pizza that is soooo good when you want to try something a bit different. The downside, on the weekend parking is crap.

This place is strictly take-out or delivery so don't expect to find tables! For folks like us renting a cottage nearby it was recommended as good - and very handy to bring back to our place. We had a large thin crust with 3 toppings (at least 2 doz. to choose from!) and found it hot and delicious - only complaint perhaps the toppings were a little chopped TOO fine or they could add a little more in quantity. Place was busy with many coming in to pickup their orders so we figured that's also a good sign! Would order again if the opportunity arises while vacationing here.

Great thin crust pizza!!!

Their pizza was really, really good. My husband and I polished off a large between the two of us in one sitting - it was that good. Highly recommended.

Being a native Chicagoan, I've eaten authentic Chicago-style pizza my entire life. I've also eaten many pizzas in cities across this country that have claimed to be 'Chicago-style', and can say that Angelo's is the ONLY pizzeria outside of Chicago worthy of making that claim. They even cut their pies in squares - just like home! I will caveat that my praise applies to Angelo's thin crust. I'm in the minority of Chicagoans that does not enjoy deep dish pizza, so I didn't sample it here. Great crust, terrific sauce, and quality toppings all at ridiculously reasonable prices. We will definitely be ordering from Angelo's during our next trip to Clearwater Beach.

I'm only going to rate the pizza. Says it's Chicago style and I'm a New Yorker. I prefer a chewy crust. Not one that is so crisp it breaks. Pizza itself didn't have much flavor. I wouldn't eat here again. Try Fortunato's in St Pete and Seminole if you want great pizza.

They have a $2 off coupon on the beach map, so an ex-large (16 inch)pepperoni came to about $12.50. We got the hand-tossed crust. I thought the pizza was alright, not great, but for a tiny shack on the beach I was happy with the pizza. It was large enough to stuff 3 people who hadn't eaten in 8 hours and spent all day walking around the beach. There was a hot Asian chick working that answered the phone and rang me up when I picked up the pizza. I had been tossing back beer's for most of the afternoon and ordered the pizza in Spanglish. We had a nice banter going back and forth. I must have been slurring a litte becuase when she took my name, I said "It's Dan, Chica". When I went to pick up the pizza, they only had one ready for "Stan Sheeka". Then she was like, were you the dude trying to speak Spanish for some reason, I think this is your pizza then.

This is not a restaurant. Thats the only thing i wish was more clear with yelp. This is just a place to order pizza, salad, or wings. Basically you sit outside on their picnic tables to eat or you take it home. Even though the place was not what i expected their thin crust pizza was awesome!!! I tried the cheese regular crust my husband got. I wasn't impressed, but thin crust was good!

What a pleasant surprise and right up the street! The pizza was delicious, toppings fresh, and we received service with a smile. Who could ask for anything more! If you're in Clearwater and you want great pizza, this is the place to go.

It was right around the corner from the beach house we rented, so we decided to give it a try. I ordered three extra large and asked if there is any coupon but got a negative response. Upon delivery, there were large three coupons and i could have applied all of them stapled to my box. Anyways pizza was ok. Thin crust was nice but ingredients didn't look too great quality wise. I think they came straight from the store packaged processed containers.

The pizza was freakin that good. It was kinda weird seeing them press out the dough through a machine and 10% tossed by hand. Still came out great. The toppings were fresh and since I worked in a pizzeria before I can see the cheese was good quality. They have a nice outdoor table to sit at. This place is right next to the beach. I will def be back!

Came to Clearwater for vacation, the sign said "best pizza you will ever taste" so we tried it. Needless to say the sign was wrong! I don't know what Chicago pizza tastes like but this pizza was terrible. The sauce tasted like it came from a jar and it was topped with store bought Parmesan cheese. Yuk!

Worst pizza ever. Not sure what everyone else was eating. The Hess gas station pizza would have been better. Terrible under cooked thin crust. Bland flavor and cheap ingredients for toppings. Don't eat here. Salad was ok.

We have ordered pizza from here at least 5 times and have been happy with each pizza. We are originally from Chicago so we love that it is Chicago style pizza. The thin crust pizza is super thin and crisp not flimsy like others in the area. The sauce is tangy and savory and we always ask for extra sauce as it is just that good. The stuffed pizza is also good but different than what Chicago stuffed pizza should be. The sauce and dough are made fresh daily by the owner himself. His staff is friendly and courteous.

I am unsure as to what previous reviewers found attractive about this establishment?! The pizza isn't good, the shack is just that, a shack and it's on a seedy street corner. We headed over there from our hotel for a bite to eat. Not the best looking street corner but oh well. We all attempted to walk into the place but unfortunately, there was only room for one person. OK, maybe the majority of their business is deliveries. So instead one of us goes inside to order and the three others got sit at one of the two tables available outside. The other being taken over by the people that appeared to be living next door. While we were waiting on our pizza, a fair amount of foot traffic went by. A young guy getting a half case of canned beer (?), patrons walking over from the bar across the street and random shirtless people. The pizza itself was extremely greasy and the crust was terrible. We had excellent pizza in another restaurant in the area. So we'd definitely recommend you look somewhere else.
